This is a great, hands-on PRIVATE session for Beginners! Learn all the basic skills of knitting in just one lesson. We will cover casting on, casting off, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and combining knit & purl stitches to form patterns. As time permits, we are happy to show you how to count stitches & rows, learn how to identify stitches & read your work, as well as basic pattern reading. At the end of your session, we will offer you guidance to help you prep for a project of your choice. Rated: All new knitters welcome

This is a great, hands-on PRIVATE lesson for beginners! Learn all the basic skills of crocheting in just one lesson. We will introduce you to all of the crochet basics, including slip knot, chain stitch, single, double & treble crochet, joining new yarn & how to read a pattern. During your lesson you will crochet a sampler of all the techniques & stitches taught. The sampler will be worked back & forth and then, time permitting, you can learn to turn corners, a skill needed to make “Granny Squares”. If you have a question about a pattern, bump into a snag in your project, need help fixing a dropped stitch, etc. we are here and ready to help! However, if your project or pattern needs more than just a ‘quick fix’, we are now pleased to offer Help Sessions.
Help Sessions may be offered ‘on the spot’, depending on how busy the store is and how many staff members are working that day. But a Help Session may need to be booked at a future date, depending on the skill set needed to help with your particular question/project and staff availability.
Having said that, feel free to book a Help Session ahead of time. Just give a call, let us know how we can help and we will schedule a date and time that works for both you and our staff member.
Help Sessions are charged in 15 minute increments, so you just pay for as much or as little help as you need at $8.00 / 15 min.
